Junior Orthodox Youth (JOY)
Junior Orthodox Youth (JOY) at Holy Trinity is the ministry to children grades 5-7. The purpose of our organization is to bring our children in contact with their Greek Orthodox Faith while having a good time in the process. They have an opportunity to meet and interact with Father Theofanis at every meeting in addition to working on crafts, and taking part in special events. In the past, children have also cooked, painted, made kolyva and prepared the red eggs for Pascha. Ultimately, the children have opportunity to meet, socialize and interact with one another and develop lasting frienships.
We meet in the church hall one Friday each month at 7:30 PM. occasionally; we try to have an event outside of the church facilities. Cost per child is $30. Additional costs for outside and special events in addition to our yearly New Years Party. Drinks and snacks are provided at church events too.
